According to Corriere dello Sport, Scotland faced trouble ahead of their opening FIFA World Cup match against Haiti, as Scott McTominay missed yesterday's training due to a stomach ache.

Scotland will play Haiti in Foxborough on June 14th at dawn Beijing time (CEST). The team decided to arrange a separate travel plan for McTominay, with only one team doctor accompanying him on the way to Boston.

Reports indicate that the 29-year-old Napoli midfielder does not want to miss the game and will play if the medical team approves. McTominay, who has scored 15 goals in 70 appearances for Scotland, hopes to make his debut in this FIFA World Cup. He also scored in Scotland's 4-0 victory over Bolivia last Saturday.

Teammate Kenny McLean said yesterday: "Hopefully the problem won't escalate. We are all hoping Scott is fine, and I believe he will play."
