According to Mundo Deportivo, Ter Stegen has started training at Ajax but will not be able to participate in this week’s third-round Europa Conference League qualifiers.

After officially joining Ajax on loan, Ter Stegen has reportedly started training with the team and received a warm welcome. However, he is currently unable to participate in the upcoming Europa Conference League qualifiers.

After defeating Serbian team Vojvodina Novi Sad 8-2 on aggregate, Ajax will face Irish team Shelbourne in the third qualifying round. The first leg will be held in Amsterdam on August 6, with the second leg played away on August 13.

However, Ajax were unable to add Ter Stegen to their squad in time for the upcoming qualifying stage. The UEFA deadline for registering players for the European competition was July 31, meaning Ter Stegen is currently unavailable to play.

If Ajax defeat Shelbourne, Ter Stegen could feature in the fourth and final round of qualifiers. There is another registration window before August 14, when he can be registered with the team. He should be eligible for registration in the Eredivisie and is expected to make his debut on August 9.
