Stuttgart striker and Germany international Undav says he hopes new national team coach Klopp will give the national team a "boost."

"I think a change of coach is like at a club, every player has to prove themselves again, and there will be new energy," Undav said at a media conference at Stuttgart's training camp.
At the same time, Undav knows he also has to convince Klopp. "It might be completely different from when the previous coach was in charge," the 30-year-old fan favorite said. "So I can only perform first and then hopefully get recognized so I have a chance to be selected."
Regarding the World Cup in the USA, Mexico, and Canada, and Germany's early elimination in the round of 16 by Paraguay, Undav said he quickly got over it: "It took about a week." However, in the past few days, he has repeatedly replayed many "why, why, how did this happen" scenarios in his mind, but did not elaborate: "None of us expected it, so everyone was surprised, but as I said, those are just my own thoughts."
