According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona has reached an agreement with Ajax for the loan of Jofre Torrents, and the two clubs are finalizing the official announcement details.

The loan deal for Jofre Torrents to join Ajax has been agreed upon by Barcelona and the Dutch club. He will reunite with Marc-André ter Stegen there. Both clubs are currently finalizing the remaining details for the official announcement.

The young full-back is one of the players Barcelona has high hopes for and one of the youth academy players Hans-Flick has shown considerable trust in during the recent training camp at St. George's Park.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo on June 22, Ajax showed interest in loaning the Barcelona youth player at the end of last season. Barcelona considered this a worthwhile opportunity because Jofre Torrents had already made his first-team debut last season, but due to fierce competition in his position, continuing to progress within the team would be difficult. Therefore, a loan to Ajax, coached by Michel, could be an ideal option for him to develop further.

Last week, in Barcelona's friendly match against Birmingham under Flick, Jofre Torrents started as the left-back. At that time, Balde was injured, and Gerard Martín played as a centre-back.
