On his impressions of Korea

"The culture here is very rich. Today was my day off, and I wandered around the city. It's beautiful. The only downside is the weather—it's extremely hot."

On the fans

"Everyone was very enthusiastic and gave us a warm welcome. During and after yesterday's match, I had the opportunity to interact with the fans, and it was wonderful. After all, it's not every day that people get to see Premier League players, so I tried to be friendly and hoped to leave a good impression with the Korean fans."

On pre-season

"The main goal of pre-season is to regain fitness and fully understand the new coach's tactical system. The World Cup meant I didn't get enough rest, so I need to return to last season's physical level as quickly as possible."

On switching to full-back

"I've mentioned in many interviews that I didn't want to play full-back at all initially; the transition was very difficult. When playing midfield, you can rest slightly towards the end of the match, but if a full-back makes a defensive mistake, it directly results in a goal conceded. You have to maintain intense focus for all 90 minutes, which is extremely challenging."

"I'm very satisfied with the amount of playing time I received. In the past, if we lost a match, I would dwell on it for an entire week. Now that I'm a regular starter, even after a loss, I have to play again three days later, which forces me to move forward quickly."

On assisting Haaland more often

"It happened naturally; I don't deliberately pursue assists. I just need to deliver the ball into the box, and the rest is up to Haaland."

"Off the pitch, he's a very fun guy, loves to joke around, has a great personality, and is an excellent teammate—just a bit loud."

Advice for Korean youth

"Believe in yourselves and work hard. Don't give up after countless setbacks; you must have faith in yourselves. If you don't believe in yourself, no one else will."

On his goals

"The top priority is restoring my physical condition to 100%; I haven't fully returned to last season's level yet. I hope to win as many trophies as possible and perform even better than last season."
