According to Cadena SER, 14 of the 20 La Liga teams have increased season ticket prices for the new season, with no team reducing them.

Football belongs to the fans, but the sport is increasingly straying from its path, and the distance between fans and clubs is growing. Against this backdrop, the price of season tickets to follow the home team is increasing year by year. For the 2026/27 season, 14 of the 20 La Liga teams have seen their season ticket prices rise compared to last season, with none decreasing.
SER reporter Isabel Pacheco cited a study on the program "El Larguero," using an adult fan wishing to renew a season ticket as a reference benchmark, to reveal the severity of this issue. The study selected the most basic tier of season tickets, meaning it does not include European competition matches for teams participating in the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League, and only calculates season tickets that include La Liga matches, with some clubs also including Copa del Rey matches. Meanwhile, all discounts (such as seniority, loyalty, or cheering stand discounts) were not included to get to the core of the issue: the actual price an adult fan pays to renew a season ticket.
14 teams increased prices, 2 exceptions, 4 maintained original prices
Only 4 of the 20 La Liga teams maintained last season's prices: Real Madrid, Getafe, Sevilla, and Valencia. There are two exceptions: Athletic Club and Real Sociedad have not yet announced season ticket prices, as their membership fees are paid in January, which is not the common practice of renewing at the beginning of the season.
The remaining 14 teams have all increased prices by varying degrees. For example, Real Betis, returning to the Champions League after 21 years, anticipates an incredibly exciting season, so season ticket prices have risen by 10% compared to last year. However, their season tickets include league, Copa del Rey, and four home matches in the Champions League group stage. This season, only Betis and Barcelona include some European matches in their season tickets, while Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Villarreal, Celta de Vigo, and Getafe will sell European match tickets separately.
The gap between Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Atletico Madrid
Among the three major title contenders, Real Madrid fans will pay the highest price to watch their home team, with Real Madrid's season ticket, including only league and Copa del Rey, reaching 2462 euros. Barcelona offers the most economical option, costing only 1443 euros, and includes league, Copa del Rey, and (some) Champions League matches. The price difference between Barcelona and Real Madrid is as high as 1019 euros. Atletico Madrid's most basic season ticket price is 2020 euros, which is 577 euros more expensive than Barcelona.
Most expensive and cheapest
Elche fans who visit the Martínez Valero Stadium every weekend have experienced astonishing increases: last season, Elche's most expensive season ticket rose from 695 euros to 900 euros, and the cheapest from 155 euros to 265 euros. The cheapest season ticket in La Liga comes from a promoted team—Málaga, with its lowest-priced ticket in the highest tier costing only 195 euros. In contrast, Real Madrid has the most expensive season ticket in La Liga, reaching 2042 euros.
