The Dutchman is about to begin his fourth season as the Reds' official captain, having taken over the role after Henderson's departure in 2023.

In Liverpool's new official film "Captain", Van Dijk joins former captains Steven Gerrard and Graeme Souness to discuss the honour of being captain.
"No matter where we are, every time I lead the team out of the tunnel, that feeling is incredible. I never will, and never would, take that for granted," said the number 4.
"The club's values - and obviously you know this better than me - how important that connection is.
"To truly understand the city, to understand what the people of Liverpool are like.
"Everyone outside the pitch, and fans all over the world, expect us to perform in every game, every three or four days.
"To be honest, it's a good thing. I really embrace and enjoy this sense of responsibility.
"You have to make sure everyone understands what we are striving for, and also make everyone understand that when we go through difficult times - and we will - we must stick together."
