Spanish TV station La Sexta released an advance snippet of an exclusive interview with Mourinho, in which Mourinho discussed the Negreira case.

When asked by the host about the Negreira case, Mourinho replied: "When I was here, I already felt something was wrong."

The Negreira case involves the controversial payment of approximately 8.4 million euros by Barcelona to the former vice-president of the Referees Technical Committee between 2001 and 2018. The case is currently under judicial investigation.

Mourinho's first tenure coaching Real Madrid was from 2010-2013, which falls within the period relevant to the Negreira case.
