Betis coach Pellegrini was very satisfied with his team's performance against Real Sociedad. Betis secured their first league win of the new season with a goal from Riquelme.

Pellegrini stated in an interview with Movistar LaLiga: "The match was very intense from the start. We had to increase the intensity because we were playing at home, and we also had to regain possession as quickly as possible. We did well for 90 minutes.
