Fulham manager Arbeloa discussed his new role at Fulham and his time at Real Madrid on DAZN's program.

When discussing his move to the Premier League, he said: "What made me decide to come to Fulham was the project the club presented to me, and the enthusiasm shown by the owner and the board. Coming here was a well-thought-out decision. I really wanted the opportunity to take on a project and invest in something meaningful."
Regarding his new club's ambitions, he said: "The owners want to go further and be more ambitious. They want to build a team with players who share that ambition and hunger. That's what attracted me to a club with such a rich history, to come to the most competitive and watched league in the world."
When asked about the style he wants to implement at Fulham, he said: "I want the team to play very aggressively when they don't have the ball or after losing it. This is very important and requires a high level of physical, mental, and tactical coordination. All 11 players must work together, as high pressing involves significant risks, but this is the team style I want to see and what I'm working to build."
On the success of Spanish coaches in England, he said: "Every Spanish coach has their own style. Some have extensive coaching experience like Guardiola or Emery. Iraola has been coaching for three years, Xabi Alonso has gone to Liverpool, Arteta is also winning... I am very happy to see them all succeed, and I'm happy to learn from them. They are all excellent coaches."
Speaking about Real Madrid, he said: "Coaching Real Madrid was a huge learning experience and a valuable one. I wish things could have turned out better for both the club and the fans, but that's how it unfolded. I will always be grateful to Real Madrid. I am a Real Madrid fan, and I always will be. Even more so now, because I still have a friend sitting on the bench coaching the team. Real Madrid is my club for life. I will watch every one of their matches. I am standing here today also because of Real Madrid. I have been connected with this club for over 20 years, and I will always cherish this experience."
When asked about the type of players he prefers, he said: "I like players who are willing to learn, work hard, and demand a lot from themselves. Gonzalo and Palacios are both extremely talented players, and they also have the character, self-demand, and ambition that I look for in young players."
