Ahead of the first home game of the new Premier League season, Tottenham Hotspur's official website published an open letter from Club CEO Vinay Venkatesham to fans.

Full text of the open letter:
Dear Fans,
As the new Premier League season is about to kick off, on behalf of everyone at the Club, I extend a warm welcome back to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The start of any new season is always filled with anticipation, but this season feels particularly significant. Last season was one of the most challenging in the Club's history, and we all know that such a situation must never happen again.
To set the Club on the right path for the future, we have made significant adjustments, and we genuinely feel a new vitality and optimism for the upcoming season.
Our ownership team and board have clear objectives. We aim to build teams that can compete at the highest level. This applies not only to the men's team but also to the women's team. Tottenham Hotspur is one club, two teams, and both will receive the support, resources, and environment needed to achieve their goals.
I know that many fans feel they have heard too many promises in the past and seen too little action. This summer, we have focused on taking concrete steps. Here, I would like to summarize some important work undertaken with the men's first team:
Squad: We have strengthened the men's squad with a clear focus on the strength, character, and physical attributes required for the team to achieve its goals. We have brought in players we identified as priorities, including experienced players with extensive Premier League experience and young talents whom we believe can continue to grow and improve at the Club.
Player availability: In recent years, we have suffered from too many injuries. The Club has carried out a comprehensive overhaul of its performance team, bringing in top experts and new skills and expertise to fundamentally change our approach to performance, medical care, and physical preparation. We have also significantly renovated the first-team training facility to provide the right environment for improving the squad's resilience to injury. We cannot expect these changes to take effect overnight, but we have now laid the correct foundation to improve player availability.
Player trading: A successful club must make decisive decisions in both acquiring and selling players, and in modern football, selling players effectively is equally crucial. In the past, we often kept players for too long. This summer, we have adopted a more proactive approach to player sales, completing deals when we deemed it appropriate, while structuring transactions to ensure the Club continues to benefit when players reach certain milestones in their future careers.
Young players: We are committed to developing players through our Academy who can contribute to the first team. The Academy must remain the foundation for Tottenham Hotspur's future development. This summer, we have actively recruited a group of young players aged 16 and under to ensure the Club has the best possible talent pool for the future.
Tottenham Hotspur Training Centre: We have made several improvements to the Training Centre, focusing on creating an environment that maximizes team performance. From new tactical meeting rooms to renovations of the players' dining area and updating the wall art and branding to make the entire building feel more like a true home for elite competition.
Connection: I constantly hear a common sentiment from fans and former players – they feel insufficiently connected to the Club. We are determined to change this and bring everyone together again as one Tottenham family. Our history and traditions are the foundation for achieving this goal. Tottenham Hotspur has a distinctive identity, forged by generations of players, fans, and the moments that have shaped the Club today. We want to bring this history to life and connect it more closely with the present.
I hope you have noticed that we have begun to take action toward this goal, whether through content published on our official channels or by inviting many former club players to share lunch with current first-team players. Of course, we still have much work to do. Rebuilding this sense of connection and belonging takes time, but it is incredibly important to us.
It has been a busy summer with much underway, and we will continue to rebuild and make a fresh start. Football always comes with challenges, but we will begin the new season with belief, determination, and unity.
Thank you for your unwavering support.
Welcome back, and let's work together to make this a season everyone can be proud of.
Thank you.
Vinay Venkatesham
