According to The Mirror, following a 2:2 draw between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest, manager Andoni Iraola confronted the fourth official, while goalkeeper Alisson damaged the substitution board in frustration.

In Saturday's early kickoff at Anfield, Víctor Muñoz scored a late goal to help Liverpool secure a point. The match was chaotic, and Iraola acknowledged his side played poorly in the first half, but he was also highly dissatisfied with the refereeing team, believing their actions in the match may have inadvertently favoured Forest.
Before Forest scored their second goal, Liverpool's manager attempted to make a triple substitution. However, fourth official Tim Robinson was not ready with the substitution board, allowing Forest to quickly restart play and catch Liverpool off guard. Alisson fouled Neco Williams in the penalty area, and Morgan Gibbs-White converted from the spot, making it 2:1. Footage shows Iraola shouting at Robinson as he scrambled to update the substitution board. In his post-match interview, the Spanish manager remained furious.
Iraola told TNT Sports: "I will analyse the penalty, yes, but a professional fourth official cannot spend three minutes preparing a substitution."
He continued: "We had already requested the substitution two or three minutes before. I was angry because we couldn't make our change at the last dead ball. Before the throw-in, I said: 'Make the change now,' but I don't understand why it took so long to prepare two substitution boards."

Alisson was furious about the penalty decision and received a yellow card for protesting to referee Sam Barrott. After the final whistle, the veteran goalkeeper remained angry and was captured on video kicking the substitution board, punching a hole through it.
This draw marked Liverpool's second consecutive stalemate to start the 2026/27 season, following a 2:2 draw with Newcastle the previous weekend. Earlier in the match, Liverpool's poor defending allowed Neco Williams to open the scoring for Forest. Alisson then pulled level with a close-range finish after a cross from Luis Díaz, before the visitors regained the lead from the penalty spot. In the 82nd minute, Muñoz struck powerfully, with his shot hitting the underside of the crossbar and bouncing in to earn Liverpool a point.

Iraola said: "This was not the result we wanted. I think there was a big difference between the first and second halves. We played very poorly in the first half, and even with our poor performance, their goals were somewhat unlucky for us."
He added: "We were very poor in the first half, much better in the second. The intensity was completely different, and if you're going to lose, you should lose the way we played in the second half. The intensity in the second period was much higher, and we were more threatening. I'm pleased with the second half, but it came too late in the game."
