According to Mirror, Al-Ain is preparing a contract offer for free agent Jadon Sancho.

Al-Ain hopes to convince the 26-year-old English winger to join the club. The team is managed by former England international Jonjo Shelvey and also includes Danny Simpson, who won the Premier League with Leicester City in 2016 and currently serves as both player and coach, along with Ravel Morrison, who has been appointed captain.

Sancho became a free agent after his contract with Manchester United expired in June. He was previously loaned to Aston Villa, but the club did not retain him. Al-Ain also hopes to contact several other high-profile free agents currently available.

Manchester United signed Sancho from Borussia Dortmund for €85 million in 2021, but his career has been eventful in recent years. In January 2024, he was loaned back to Borussia Dortmund and featured in the Champions League final. The following season, he joined Chelsea and won the UEFA Europa Conference League with the club.

After failing to complete a permanent transfer to Chelsea, Sancho was loaned to Aston Villa, where he scored 1 goal and provided 3 assists in 39 appearances, winning the Europa League with the team. Fiorentina, Roma, and Palmeiras were all contacted, but no deal was reached. Al-Ain hopes to seize this opportunity to bring the former England international to the Saudi Pro League and provide a fresh start for his career.
