According to Brazilian journalist Guilherme Frossard, Atlético Mineiro has contacted Richarlison to inquire about a potential loan move for the forward.

Richarlison's proposed transfer to Turkey fell through, and after failing to secure registration with Tottenham Hotspur, he will be unable to play for several months, as the main European transfer windows have closed. While Richarlison's team had not initially considered a return to Brazil, these circumstances have prompted a change in strategy.

Atlético Mineiro has made contact, but faces stiff competition from Vasco da Gama. Vasco's passionate fanbase has made a strong impression on Richarlison, who has previously stated publicly that he is a supporter of the Rio de Janeiro club. Although Atlético Mineiro has entered the race, Vasco da Gama currently holds the advantage. A decision must be reached by Friday, when the Brazilian transfer window closes. Richarlison's contract with Tottenham Hotspur runs through mid-2027.
