Cavan Sullivan and Quinn Sullivan took a share of MLS history as they inspired the Philadelphia Union to a 5-0 thrashing of 10-man FC Cincinnati at Subaru Park.

Bruno Damiani starred with a hat-trick, but the day also belonged to the Sullivan brothers, who registered six goal involvements between them, with Milan Iloski also on target. 

Philadelphia's win was aided by an early red card for Obinna Nwobodo, who was sent off after a VAR review for a late tackle on Frankie Westfield after just 16 minutes. 

The Union had to wait until the 43rd minute to take the lead, though, with Quinn Sullivan scoring a penalty after the American was fouled inside the penalty area by Evander. 

Damiani doubled Philadelphia's lead in first-half stoppage time, tucking in Cavan Sullivan's cross from close range, and he brought up his brace four minutes after the restart. 

Just after the hour, Damiani completed his hat-trick. He collected another Cavan Sullivan pass before rifling a fierce shot into the roof of the net at Roman Celentano's near post.

Iloski added further gloss to the scoreline in the 89th minute, dispatching Philadelphia's second spot-kick of the match following Tah Brian Anunga's foul on Malik Jakupovic. 

Orlando City also claimed a victory on Wednesday, with Antoine Griezmann inspiring a comeback in a 3-2 win over Atlanta United at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. 

David Brekalo's own goal had given Atlanta a seventh-minute lead, but Griezmann levelled things up in the 26th minute when he slid in to divert Joran Gerbet's cross into the net.

Orlando completed the turnaround just before the hour when Martin Ojeda squared for Ivan Angulo, with Griezmann notching his brace with a poked finish 13 minutes from time.

Tyrese Spicer put through his own net in the seventh minute of second-half stoppage time, but Martin Perelman's side hung on to move up to sixth in the Eastern Conference. 

Sullivans continue Richter's unbeaten run

After leading the Union to their worst start to an MLS campaign, Bradley Carnell was relieved of his duties, with Ryan Richter placed in temporary charge, but has done his chances of getting the job on a full-time basis no harm following a fine run of form under his management. 

Philadelphia are now unbeaten in their last nine league games with Richter at the helm (W7 D2), and Cavan Sullivan has been key to that run of form. 

Only Freddy Adu (five in 2004) and Santino Quaranta (five in 2001) have scored more league goals than Cavan Sullivan's four before turning 16, and though he was unable to level that record here, he combined with his brother to create MLS history. 

With Cavan Sullivan's three assists along with one goal and two assists from Quinn Sullivan, the pair matched the record set by Gonzalo and Federico Higuain for the MLS record for goal contributions by brothers in a game (also six). 

Griezmann, meanwhile, continued his fine start to life in the MLS. 

His 10 goal involvements (seven goals, three assists) in nine MLS outings has surpassed Nani's record for the most goal contributions in their first nine league games for Orlando.
