According to Sport, Flick held a private conversation with Gavi, and Barcelona has made it clear that they consider the midfielder a key part of their new project, effectively blocking Paris Saint-Germain's attempts to sign him.

On Tuesday morning, an eye-catching moment unfolded on the training ground as Barcelona prepared for Wednesday's La Liga match against Racing Santander.
Flick spoke individually with Gavi for several minutes during training, with assistant coach Arnau Blanco also present, the pair standing apart from their teammates.
According to Spanish outlet Sport, Flick's message was clear: despite Gavi's slow start, his confidence in the player remains unwavering.
Gavi started and played 44 minutes in the opening league match against Elche, then missed fixtures against Athletic Bilbao and Rayo Vallecano due to a right leg injury. He played only 8 minutes against Feyenoord in the Champions League and sat out matches against Valencia and Levante on the bench.
Nevertheless, Gavi has been very sharp and energetic in training, establishing himself as one of Flick's planned starters. This is particularly evident given Flick's focus on having players at full fitness ahead of Wednesday's match against Racing Santander and Saturday's away trip to Sevilla.
The meeting comes at a sensitive moment. There has been growing speculation from France that Paris Saint-Germain is interested in signing Gavi at Luis Enrique's request.
Reportedly, the Spanish coach wants PSG to contact Barcelona to explore a potential transfer worth around 40 million euros.
However, Barcelona's position is firm and unambiguous: the club has no intention of selling Gavi, and the player himself is fully committed to succeeding at Barcelona. Flick's private meeting today is the clearest evidence that Gavi remains central to the German coach's tactical vision.
