The Frenchman will be without Sergio Ramos and Isco for the Las Palmas game although their title ambitions have faded anyway.

Real  are third in table on 60 points, four behind second-placed Atletico Madrid and 15 adrift of runaway leaders Barcelona.

After a tumultuous domestic campaign the focus is now on the Champions League and Zidane may opt to rest his big name players.

Ronaldo played against Egypt and the Netherlands for Portugal and the 33-year-old might be afforded some rest ahead of Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final first leg against Juventus.

Isco meanwhile is suffering with a back problem after scoring a hat-trick for Spain in their 6-1 demolition of Argentina.

The midfielder raised eyebrows by taking a swipe at his club after the performance, saying: 'At Real Madrid I don't have the kind of confidence that a footballer needs.'

Zidane insists he isn't concerned by the remarks: 'Everyone can interpret his words however they like but I'm not bothered by them.

'Perhaps he's not happy as he doesn't play as often for us as for Spain and he wants to play more but he's very important to us.'
