The Germany international has been targeted by a number of clubs, but his club are adamant that they will not let the 22-year-old depart in January

Paris Saint-Germain have targeted Borussia Dortmund’s Mathias Ginter as a solution to their void in central defence, but Borussia Dortmund do not want to sell the Germany international.
Ligue 1 champions PSG have found themselves short at the back since selling David Luiz to Chelsea in the summer. Thiago Silva and Marquinhos are the regulars in that area for the capital side but they otherwise lack depth.
And while Presnel Kimpembe has stepped up impressively from the youth ranks, Unai Emery’s side want additional cover in that area and have been following a number of players including Ginter, who is their most serious target for the time being.
Arsenal, Tottenham, Wolfsburg and Juventus are also tracking the centre-back but BVB are adamant that they will not sell the 22-year-old, with coach Thomas Tuchel wishing to construct his side around the defender having seen Mats Hummels return to Bayern Munich in the summer.
PSG first took an interest in Giner at the end of the summer transfer market but did not elect to make a bid for the promising youngster.
With January looming, however, Emery’s men are set to go back in for the Dortmund star, though whether they will be able to prise him away from the Bundesliga remains to be seen.
Currently, the Parc des Princes side have the best defensive record in Ligue 1, having conceded only seven goals in 12 matches.
Nonetheless, Emery remains under pressure since moving to the club from Valencia in the summer, having seen Monaco and Nice set the early pace in Le Championnat.
