Reports from the British newspaper "The Mirror" claim that Arsenal's pursuit of Vinicius could be paving the way for another blockbuster signing this summer.

"The Mirror" points out that if Arsenal signs Vinicius from Real Madrid, it would be the biggest transfer in the club's history, but Arsenal's pursuit of the Brazilian star may not fully reflect Arteta's entire transfer intentions.
According to "The Mirror," before selling Trossard to Beşiktaş, Arteta had already prioritized signing a blockbuster attacker to improve the team's chances of defending the Premier League title next season. Vinicius certainly fits the bill, but he is not Arsenal's only target forward this summer. Jean-Diao Mandé is also an Arsenal target, and Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid have all shown strong interest in the RB Leipzig left winger. Vinicius is clearly the better player at the moment, but 19-year-old Diao Mandé is seven years younger and can play on both flanks.
"The Mirror" claims that Vinicius's contract situation may also have affected Real Madrid's plans to push for the signing of the Ivorian winger. Real Madrid had offered £85 million for Diao Mandé but was unsuccessful. Arsenal's interest in Vinicius could be a deliberate strategy aimed at forcing Real Madrid to prioritize his contract renewal, thereby allowing the Gunners to overtake in the race for Diao Mandé.
