According to Mediaset, Juventus captain Locatelli said before the match against Chelsea that Kolo Muani is very strong and the team must do more in the new season.

"Kolo Muani is a great guy and a very strong player. I personally followed him in the previous transfer windows because he is a top player who can elevate everyone's level. We are happy for those who came here and for those who stayed, but most importantly, we are indeed a great team."

Juventus captain Locatelli spoke about the new signing at the pre-match press conference. Regarding last season's disappointment, Locatelli said: "This disappointment remains in our hearts and must be our motivation. When we came back, we kept saying that we didn't do enough last year because we didn't achieve our goals, so we will keep this in mind every training session.

We definitely have to do more this year. As I said, we didn't reach our goals, so we must keep moving forward, train hard, talk less, work more, and strive to get back to our goals."

Locatelli also said: "Being the captain of Juventus is a responsibility and an honor. This also helps us, along with the Italian team, to become competitive again. We failed because we didn't qualify for the World Cup, and this should motivate us to do better. The only way to return to the highest level is to work hard."
