At 12:07 CET on August 6, according to transfer reporter Romano's social media, CA River Plate (Argentina) and Atlético Madrid have reached a verbal agreement over Thiago Almada.

Romano reported that both parties have reached a verbal agreement and personal terms have also been approved. Currently, they are awaiting contract review and proceeding with official steps. The transfer fee is estimated at around €20 million.
