According to TyCSports earlier today, Man City have begun considering Rodri's replacement, with Enzo Maresca's preferred candidate being Enzo.

TyCSports stated that, with Rodri entering the radar of Real Madrid and Barcelona after the 2026 World Cup, Man City are beginning to weigh up options to replace him.

The report claims that new head coach Enzo Maresca wants Enzo to control the midfield, having previously worked with him at Chelsea.

According to transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the 46-year-old Italian coach has internally indicated that his first choice is Enzo.

TyCSports also reported that Enzo previously helped the Argentine national team secure a World Cup runner-up finish as a key player, scoring crucial goals, including in the semi-final against England and the Round of 16 against Egypt.
