Villa on hunt for MacPhee replacement

Burnley set-piece coach Pal Fjelde is in talks to join Aston Villa.

Villa lost Austin MacPhee to Chelsea last month and 32-year-old Fjelde would be his replacement.

Fjelde joined Burnley last year and has also been his home country of Norway’s set piece coach since June 2022.

As a player he was a defender and midfielder and played for Norwegian clubs Viking and Bryne, before brief spells with Scottish Premiership side St Mirren and Faroe Islands Premier League side 07 Vestur.
