According to Argentine journalist Gastón Edul, Rodri's and Enzo's transfers are interdependent. Once Rodri's transfer goes through, it will likely drive Enzo's transfer, and Enzo himself is eager to play in the Champions League.

Although Chelsea's deadline for Enzo to leave has passed, the transfer saga continues.

With Pep Guardiola leaving after ten years and key players like Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne departing in the past two seasons, Manchester City is undergoing a generational change. Rodri may also leave, and Maresca's arrival means the team needs more physically stronger and technically more versatile players, and the formation may also be slightly adjusted.

Rodri's future remains unclear; he is currently in negotiations with Barcelona. However, the future of Enzo (25) has been clear from the start. However, Argentine journalist Gastón Edul, who is very knowledgeable about Argentine football and has close ties with Enzo's team, believes that the probability of this transfer succeeding is much higher than failing. This news greatly changes the situation, especially indicating that the player's own wishes may be very different from Chelsea's public stance. He is eager to participate in the Champions League.  

Edul also pointed out that the final offer will exceed 140 million euros. This amount is higher than the amount he negotiated with his agent and can also, to some extent, compensate for the loss of a key player leaving Stamford Bridge a few days before the transfer window closes.  

Rodri's potential transfer to Barcelona is directly related to Manchester City's transfer. If Manchester City ultimately loses a key player, they will need to strengthen their midfield, and Enzo is a player Maresca particularly admires, having coached him at Chelsea.

Gastón insists that these deals are interdependent. Maresca has always insisted on signing him, and once Rodri's transfer is completed, one of the most expensive deals in the transfer market could emerge.
