According to Bild, Borussia Dortmund's new signing Joey Veerman has arrived in Borussia Dortmund with his fiancée Chantal Schilder. With his transfer from PSV Eindhoven, the Dutch midfielder and his family have officially begun a new chapter in their lives.

A kissing photo shows that the 27-year-old Veerman has quickly adapted to and is enjoying life in Borussia Dortmund. The new Borussia Dortmund midfielder appeared at Signal Iduna Park with his fiancée Chantal, arm in arm, kissing and taking photos inside the stadium, documenting a sweet moment at their new home ground. Chantal, who accompanied Veerman, also has a very humble upbringing.

Chantal and Veerman both hail from Volendam and have been in love for many years. In 2024, in an interview with the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, she spoke about her work: "I was originally a medical assistant, but now I work at a fish stall in the market."

Today, the couple has started their own small family. In September 2023, their first son Frankie-Joe was born; in May 2025, their second son Jaxx was born. Their wedding is also gradually being put on the agenda. This May, Veerman proposed to his long-term girlfriend during a vacation, and they officially became engaged.

As early as 2024, Chantal revealed that she hoped to have a wedding in a castle abroad, while Veerman preferred to hold the wedding in their hometown of Volendam. Currently, it is still uncertain when and where the couple will finally get married. For now, the family's first priority is to embrace their new life in Borussia Dortmund. This week, Borussia Dortmund signed Veerman from PSV Eindhoven, paying a release clause of 20 million euros. The Dutch international signed with Borussia Dortmund until 2031.

Next, Veerman will strive to start a new chapter in his career at Borussia Dortmund, and he has brought his loved one with him to Germany.
