In an official announcement, Bellingham was named Man of the Match in Real Madrid’s encounter with Espanyol.

In the second round of La Liga, Real Madrid won 2-1 away at Espanyol. Bellingham scored with a header from a free kick in the 10th minute, opening the scoring and securing Real Madrid's first goal of the new season.

Following his decisive performance, Bellingham was voted the fans’ Player of the Match in the official La Liga poll.
