According to Football Italia, Leao has returned to Milan training but remains available for transfer in the final week of the summer transfer window.

After nearly two weeks of absence, Leao has returned to Milan training, though he remains available for sale during the final week of the summer transfer window.

The Portuguese international has indicated that the end of the 2025-26 season would be the appropriate time for him to leave Milan. The club has been actively seeking a new destination for Leao throughout the summer.

Leao has previously expressed a desire to play in the Premier League or La Liga. Despite being linked with several European clubs, including Aston Villa, he has yet to complete a move away from Milan.

Milan appears to be moving on from Leao: coach Amorim recently stated explicitly that "Rafael (Leao) is not important," and the team's young replacement, Alphajoy Pap-Cisse, has already impressed fans—he scored his first Serie A goal in Milan's 2026-27 season opener against Torino over the weekend.

Nevertheless, Leao remains at Milan with only one week left in the transfer window.

According to multiple media reports on Wednesday, Leao has returned to Milan training after a 12-day absence.

He had previously not traveled with the Rossoneri for their pre-season friendly against Manchester United, nor did he feature in the Serie A season opener against Torino over the weekend.

Regarding interested clubs, La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Aston Villa has decided to abandon a potential deal for Leao, though some Italian media outlets claim the Premier League club remains engaged.

Galatasaray is also in the running but has not yet matched Milan's €50 million asking price. Wednesday's reports indicate their current offer stands at €42 million, including add-ons.
