Aston Villa captain McGinn believes Evans' assessment of Tielemans was spot on.

McGinn stated on The Overlap's "Stick to Football" podcast that Evans' prediction that Tielemans could fill Manchester United's void was completely accurate.

"I'm talking about an all-round player, and just like Jonny (Evans), I saw him commenting on Tielemans in the media a few weeks ago, saying 'he might be exactly the missing piece Manchester United has been looking for.'"

"We will miss him both on and off the field. He is a top player with an extremely strong desire to win.

"I might miss many qualities in players, but his mentality shown in adversity is the most memorable. I have no doubt that Youri (Tielemans) can do this at Manchester United, absolutely."

McGinn on what Manchester United fans can expect from Tielemans

Last week, Carrick started Tielemans in Manchester United's 2-0 away defeat to Hull City at the MKM Stadium, where the latter made his Premier League debut for the Red Devils.

McGinn first emphasized Tielemans' importance to Villa, then praised the midfielder's personal ability and on-field mentality.
