Regarding the Algerian defender's situation, Kovač said: "He only did some running today, and we will see tomorrow how he progresses before the weekend." However, the Borussia Dortmund head coach also stated that he is prepared for all eventualities: "If Ramy cannot play, we will find a good solution."

New summer signing Justin Lerma is also uncertain for Saturday's match. The 18-year-old was substituted off due to injury during Borussia Dortmund's youth team's 4-1 away victory against Fulham in the Premier League International Cup on Wednesday. Regarding Lerma, Kovač said: "We believe it is a muscle issue," and added that the player would undergo further examinations.
