As head coach, Fabregas attended the pre-match press conference ahead of the Napoli fixture, discussing Morata's departure, Allegri, and the squad composition.

On Morata's departure, Fabregas said: "This can be viewed from multiple angles, both as a player and as a person. In terms of on-pitch performance, things didn't go as we hoped, and we expected something different."
"But his relationship with Dovykas has been very good. That value is really hard to quantify; having a player alongside you who can help and pass on specialist knowledge to the forwards is very important. Morata has been outstanding right up until his last day. We can only thank him and wish him luck in the future. His teammates all respect him greatly, and of course, his final on-pitch performance will speak for itself. But more importantly, he's played a crucial role in the team. It's also the role he wanted to take on."
On Allegri and Napoli, Fabregas said: "I don't know him particularly well, but he's very intelligent. I can see a lot of Conte and Allegri in them, and they have excellent players too. There's now a blend of many different ideas, and they've returned to a 4-3-3 formation with two very strong wingers."
"Allegri has incorporated some of his own ideas, but he's also adapted based on his players' characteristics. Compared to the pre-season, Napoli are clearly different now."
"Facing Napoli means facing a very mature team. Playing at the San Paolo Stadium is hugely important and will be very difficult; many of their players have played together for years. We also hope to build something similar to what Napoli and De Laurentiis have created over the past 20 to 25 years; they're an excellent example for us."
Regarding his altercation with Allegri after the Milan vs. Como match last season, Fabregas said: "I regret what happened back then. None of us are perfect, and I've learned from that. But I have the utmost respect for this coach, for him and for Napoli."
When asked whether the squad needs further reinforcements, Fabregas said: "We want to build a more balanced team so everyone can get playing time whenever needed. Squad rotation is inevitable this season."
"I played in the Champions League for many years, and for all of us, this is a very important challenge. However, we lack experience. I can't say right now whether 20 or 25 players will be enough."
"We'll do our best, but I can't guarantee 100% what the results will look like. We're currently putting an idea into practice, and these experiences can help us prepare better over the next two or three years. It's an acceleration process, and sometimes you don't know how to handle these situations, so we need to stay calm and composed."
