According to German media outlet Sport1, Germany coach Julián Klopp has expressed his full support for Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala and revealed details of their first contact.

Klopp told Sky Sports in an interview before Bayern Munich's Bundesliga opener against Stuttgart that he had sent a voice message to the 23-year-old: "Because he didn't know me at all, nor did he have my number. If I called him, I might have to call for three days straight—I don't think he'd answer."

Musiala immediately replied to the voice message. The Bayern Munich attacker missed the first few official matches of the season after collapsing due to a neurological issue during two warm-up games.

Klopp reveals Musiala's recovery status

Klopp said he wanted to encourage "young players like Jamal." The new German national team coach said: "In the end, everything will be fine, everyone agrees on that, but it's not possible at this stage. So I wanted to at least help him alleviate one worry—whether there will be any long-term consequences. Of course there won't be. That's all I can help with."

Klopp also mentioned that he had spoken with Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany. "Kompany told me that he has recovered to his best form. He's now in incredibly good shape," said the 59-year-old coach.

Klopp believes patience is key: "There's actually nothing wrong with young players; the only problem is that they get impatient. And at such times, you absolutely must not be impatient."

Klopp believes Musiala is at the perfect club in the perfect environment: "We want to contribute to that perfect environment by just telling him: 'Lad, get well soon!' That door is always open."
