Cagliari officially announced that Sassuolo winger Riccardo Cervo has joined the club on loan with an option to buy.

Cagliari Football Club officially announced the signing of Riccardo Cervo from Sassuolo. The player joins on loan until the end of the 2026-27 season, with an option to buy included in the deal.

Born in Latina in 2002, Cervo is a right-footed winger who can play on both flanks. He is exceptionally quick, excels in one-on-one situations, and is adept at making runs into deep spaces.

Cervo came through the Roma youth academy and made his Serie A professional debut for Sampdoria in September 2021 against Napoli. During his time at Sampdoria, he made 12 appearances and provided 4 assists. After transferring to Sassuolo in 2022, he gained experience on loan at Frosinone, Venezia, Südtirol, Cosenza, and Cesena. Last season at Cesena, he played 38 games, scoring 5 goals and providing 4 assists, which reinforced his abilities and marked another important step forward in his career development.

After returning to Sassuolo in summer 2026, he made an appearance in the latter stages of the Serie A opening match against Atalanta on August 23, returning to the Serie A pitch. Now embarking on a new chapter, he will bring pace, tactical versatility, and the ability to create attacking advantages for Cagliari.
