According to British media reports, Tottenham Hotspur's starting lineups for their first three Premier League matches were leaked 24 hours before each game, pointing to an insider during the Postecoglou era.

Season after season, Tottenham Hotspur's injury problems are matched only by the constant leaking of internal information from the North London club, which undermines the head coach and his team.

It's not easy for any Premier League club to keep information completely confidential. Too many people are involved, and players have agents, publicists, family members, and various other circles around them. However, in recent years, Tottenham Hotspur has been as leaky as a rusty old pipe when it comes to information leaks.

Postecoglou's starting lineups for the first three Premier League matches of the new season appear on social media, WhatsApp groups, and message boards 24 hours before each game, visible even to opponents.

Postecoglou has faced the issue of an "insider" within the team, as medical information about player injuries would leak from the club.

"There's no doubt there are leaks from the club – someone is constantly releasing information," Postecoglou said. "This only makes our job harder, because we don't want opponents to know any lineup decisions in advance on match day."

"We have narrowed it down. We have been investigating this for some time and have a rough idea of where the information is coming from. It's disappointing because you would hope that everyone here is working with us, not against us."

He added: "It's definitely not agents, absolutely not agents. The content that leaks is very specific. The wording used is not what agents would use, believe me. It's also definitely not players, because the leaked information is... listen, especially medical information, I have always been very, very cautious."

"I know everyone thinks this information should be completely public, but I always maintain respect for medical records and how much information we actually release. From the club's perspective, information leaks are unacceptable. I have enough trouble outside; I don't need to add more problems for myself."
