According to Marca, Deportivo La Coruña's CEO Massimo Benassi confirmed that the club will continue investing in facilities and sports competition.

Benassi stated this morning that Deportivo La Coruña has always operated within the salary cap, as La Liga enforces strict requirements in this regard. He expressed satisfaction with the current squad and confirmed that the club's previous social issues have been resolved.

As a financially healthy club, Deportivo finds it easier to strengthen the team. He explained: "The salary cap includes not only the first team, but also the women's team, reserve team, commissions, and amortization. Perhaps the total will slightly exceed 50 million euros."

Benassi is also pleased with squad depth: "We have two players in each position, and some positions have more than two. We are grateful to Atlético Madrid and Barcelona for helping us sign Marc Casado and José María Giménez. We still have room for signings until December, but I want to emphasize that this squad is very well-balanced."

Benassi explained that pre-season preparations began months ago. "Thanks to being debt-free and two capital increases, we have been able to complete signings while maintaining strict financial control since 2023."

Having no financial risks in athletic planning is crucial for the club. He said: "We will continue to invest in facilities and competition. If we spend less in the transfer market, it may mean our youth academy players are developing well, which benefits us. We will always operate without financial risk."

Benassi emphasized that the team remains mindful of its history. He said: "We need 37 more points since we already have 8. We are monitoring the situation until we reach 45 points and safety. We will not forget the Primera Federación stadiums we came from."

The CEO also addressed previous tensions between fans and the club, taking personal responsibility. He stated: "We are self-critical and I take full responsibility for what happened. That period was difficult, and I don't believe Deportivo fans or the club should have experienced such difficulties in our first match back in La Liga. Now that things have been resolved, everyone understands. Going forward, we will move together, and united, Deportivo fans and the club will be much stronger."

Benassi noted that many clubs have inquired about Deportivo's players this summer. He concluded: "Yeremay, Edahchouri, Nubi, Mella—these players are all in demand, and we have received many inquiries about them."
