Moyes provides Grealish and Norgaard injury updates ahead of Everton's trip to Tottenham.

When asked if Grealish was ready to start, Moyes said at his pre-match press conference: "I think Jack is a special case. I think Jack is ready to play now.

"I think Jack is probably one of those players who needs games more than training. Game time helps Jack, but in a way, it's also a process for him to continue to build his form and get back to his best.

"I have to say, he's trained really well this week and looks closer and closer to starting.

"If he can perform like he did at the start of last season, that would be very exciting. If we can get him like that, we'll be very happy."

Norgaard, another new signing this summer, joined Everton from Arsenal on August 5 for an undisclosed fee, widely believed to be around £7 million, but has yet to make an appearance for the team. Moyes admitted his recovery from injury has taken longer than expected.

Moyes said: "He's not available yet. We're hoping he'll be back sometime after the international break, that's what we're expecting.

"I don't think we expected it to drag on this long. To be honest, he's very important to us.

"We were really looking forward to his experience, judgment, and knowledge of him. But so far, he hasn't trained with us on the training ground, which is the most disappointing thing, but hopefully it won't be too long."
