According to Greek media outlet SPORT24, Greek second-division team Panionios is preparing to complete a significant transfer, as they aim to sign 37-year-old former French international Sissoko. Both sides have already engaged in in-depth discussions.

SPORT24 states that Panionios is looking to finalize the most important transfer of the summer and is currently in advanced talks with Sissoko.
The 37-year-old French midfielder is no longer in Panathinaikos' plans, having made only 4 official appearances for the team last season, with 1 start. The club is seeking a solution for his departure, as his contract with the team runs until the summer of 2027.
According to SPORT24, the French midfielder visited Panionios' training center a few days ago and discussed the possibility of cooperation with team officials.
Now, discussions between both parties have entered the final stage, and the team hopes to facilitate this transfer.
Sissoko has had a distinguished career in top-tier leagues, having played for Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, Watford, Toulouse, and Nantes. He started for Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final against Liverpool in the 2018/19 season and represented France in the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 and 2020 European Championships.
