Ahead of the Manchester Derby, Manchester City defender Ruben Dias discussed the team's start to the new season, adapting to new tactical concepts, squad changes this summer, and the standards the team needs to maintain before the Manchester Derby in an interview shared on JioStar.

Speaking about the team's positive start to the season, Ruben Dias said: "The beginning has been very positive. Many things have changed, but ultimately, the changes haven't been that significant. The team now has a new energy, and it feels good. Enzo has his own clear ideas about the game, both offensively and defensively. But overall, it's still very similar to the football we're used to playing. We still control a lot of possession, which is our main characteristic. So from that perspective, although some things have changed, the team has also maintained a certain continuity. Most importantly, everyone has accepted and embraced these new ideas.
We work very hard on the training ground, hoping to understand every detail. The results at the beginning of the season are encouraging, and the team's confidence is constantly growing. Now the key is to maintain stability and continue to improve match by match."
Speaking about the relatively significant squad changes this summer, Ruben Dias said: "There will always be new faces joining and others leaving. More players left during this transfer window than usual, but that's just the cycle. Everyone who comes here joins for the same reason we all did initially: to win and to reach the highest level.
What's truly important is how quickly everyone can integrate into the team and understand what's required of them. Regardless of who is here, the team's standards will not change. We have a very strong team, and the new players have adapted well. Our goal remains unchanged, and everyone is working towards the same objective."
Speaking about being one of the few remaining members of the previous leadership group, Ruben Dias said: "Time flies so fast, so you have to enjoy this period before it ends, because the time I've spent at Manchester City is the best thing in the world. Especially because of these experiences. I've been through a lot with the people who were here before, and I've won a lot, so I know very well what it takes to win and what kind of stability you need to maintain every day."
Speaking about the upcoming Manchester Derby, Ruben Dias said: "It will be a difficult game. This is the Premier League, and you know what that means. We will go into this game with confidence, and we can't wait to get on the pitch. The level of play here is very high, and that's precisely what makes this league special. You can't expect any game to be easy.
We respect every opponent, and we prepare for all of them in the same way. We know what Manchester United is capable of, and we will be ready for this challenge."
