According to reports from Bayern Munich correspondents, CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has extended his contract until 2029, with an additional one-year extension option that he can exercise unilaterally. If Dreesen wishes, he can lead Bayern's executive board until 2030.

In February 2013, Dreesen replaced Karl Hopfner as Chief Financial Officer of Bayern Munich AG, and in February 2014, he was appointed Vice Chairman of the Executive Board. He is considered a key figure in the club's most economically successful decade. Following the departures of Kahn and Salihamidžić, Dreesen became Chairman of the Board of Management of Bayern Munich AG on May 27, 2023.
