According to multiple British media reports, former Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Arsenal striker Sterling admitted to dangerous driving and illegal possession of nitrous oxide when appearing in court.

Today, Sterling arrived at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court in Hampshire, where he was charged with dangerous driving, illegal possession of nitrous oxide (for inhalation), and refusal to provide a sample .

Previously, Sterling was involved in a single-vehicle accident on the M3 motorway on May 28, when his Lamborghini crashed into the motorway barrier.

At the same time, Sterling admitted that he possessed and intended to inhale nitrous oxide, and refused to provide a breath sample.

Sterling was charged in August, and Hampshire Police issued a statement saying that "no other vehicles were involved and no one was injured" in the accident.

The 31-year-old Sterling terminated his contract with Chelsea in January this year and played for Feyenoord for half a season. He is now a free agent.
