Fulham came out on top of a thrilling London derby as they reached the fourth round of the Carabao Cup with a 3-2 win over West Ham.

The visitors were pegged back twice at the London Stadium, but super-sub Oscar Bobb made the difference to hand Alvaro Arbeloa his second win as Cottagers boss.

Prior to the game, the Hammers held a period of appreciation in honour of former goalkeeper Ludek Miklosko, who passed away following a battle with cancer.

West Ham had scored 27 goals this season prior to the tie, while Fulham had conceded three in two of their four Premier League games, so it was no surprise to see a goal-fest quickly commence.

After a dominant start, Rodrigo Muniz headed the visitors ahead after some lacklustre defending from the home side. However, that lead lasted less than three minutes, as some equally poor defending from a set-piece resulted in an easy header for Morato.

Normal service continued after the equaliser, and having missed two good chances beforehand, Cesar Palacios finally applied the finishing touch with a classy poke past Finlay Herrick.

Yet, in a case of deja vu, back came West Ham as Pablo smashed in his long-awaited first Hammers goal seconds before the break.

Both sides sent on the big guns in search of the winner. Jarrod Bowen and Taty Castellanos entered for the hosts, but it was Fulham's changes that made the difference. Josh King won possession on the edge of the West Ham box, before Bobb danced his way into the area and slotted home for his first goal for the club.

The aforementioned West Ham duo combined for what surely had to be the equaliser as Bowen squared to Castellanos for a tap-in. However, the Spaniard was far too casual, allowing Timothy Castagne to clear off the line and ensure Fulham made it through.
