Arsenal and Chelsea are keeping a close eye on a 20-year-old Polish striker who has been dubbed 'the new Robert Lewandowski'.

Lech Poznan forward Dawid Kownacki has helped fire his club to a title challenge in Poland this season, attracting the attention of some of Europe's biggest sides.

Chelsea and Arsenal are among a group to have sent scouts to watch Kownacki, with Leicester City also thought to be among an interested group of potential buyers.

And with England among Poland's opponents at the Under-21 European Championship on home soil, the young striker has a chance to push his Premier League credentials further this summer.

Kownacki, who hit 11 goals this season, has been compared to Bayern Munich star Lewandowski based on their shared style and early career paths.

The youngster is enjoying his highest-scoring season after admitting he struggled with high expectations earlier in his career.
