Liverpool are monitoring the progress of Valencia winger Ferran Torres amid competition from Premier League rivals Chelsea.

The talented Spain U19 international only turned 18 in February and has already attracted enquiries from Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Liverpool scouts have followed him playing for his country since last year and in Valencia's first team where he has made ten appearances this season.

Confident Torres had demanded greater playing time after pushing his claims in Valencia's reserves and has not disappointed coaching staff.

Chelsea have followed him closely and know Valencia, though reluctant to sell, have set his buy out figure at £21.9million.

Torres is under contract until 2020 but Valencia expect offers this summer
