On August 3rd, Real Betis officially announced that Adrian had joined the club's sporting management team.

After announcing his retirement last May, Adrian will remain at Betis, where he will join the sporting management team led by Manu Fajardo, responsible for sports and institutional coordination. His responsibilities include managing international relations and overseeing and supporting the development of young players.

Adrian trained in the Betis academy from the age of 10 and made his first-team debut in 2012. A year later, he moved to West Ham United, and then joined Liverpool. At Liverpool, he performed exceptionally, demonstrating outstanding leadership skills.

During his time at Liverpool, he helped the team win 7 titles (Premier League, FA Cup, Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Community Shield, and two League Cups). In 2024, he returned to Betis, establishing himself as one of the team captains, making 32 appearances.

He perfectly combined a long athletic career with academics, in fact, he holds a degree in Sports Activities and Sports Science, and has completed the UEFA Football Management course, La Liga Global Player program, and FIFA Player Executive program.
