According to Sky Sports Deutschland, Stuttgart is currently in contact and negotiations with Fenerbahçe forward Sidiki Cherif. If they cannot successfully sign Wolfsburg forward Pejcinovic, the 19-year-old Guinean striker will become an important alternative target to strengthen the team's attacking line.

Currently, Stuttgart's negotiations for Pejcinovic have stalled, as the two clubs have not reached agreement on the transfer fee. Wolfsburg is demanding €25 million for the striker, a price Stuttgart considers too high and unacceptable.
In light of this, Stuttgart is broadening its recruitment scope and accelerating the evaluation of alternative forward candidates. Sky Sports Deutschland reports that Sidiki Cherif of Fenerbahçe has entered the club's scouting radar. Should the Pejcinovic deal fall through, Cherif would be considered Stuttgart's primary replacement option to bolster their attacking options. In fact, Stuttgart had included Sidiki Cherif on their candidate list during last winter's transfer window, but ultimately chose to sign Jeremy Arevalo instead, while Cherif moved to Turkey's top division. Now, Stuttgart is again considering bringing the 1.88m-tall forward back to the Bundesliga, and Fenerbahçe has not entirely ruled out his departure.
However, whether this potential deal will actually progress depends on Stuttgart's ongoing negotiations with Wolfsburg regarding Pejcinovic. Currently, Pejcinovic remains Stuttgart's primary attacking target, and the 21-year-old German U21 international is keen to join the club. To accelerate the transfer process, Pejcinovic has rejected an offer from Porto. Although Stuttgart and Wolfsburg leadership remain in contact, reaching an agreement remains difficult, but the deal has not completely collapsed, and there is still room for further negotiations.
