Olympiakos Piraeus officially announced that the club has signed Swiss international midfielder Freuler on a free transfer.

Olympiakos Piraeus Football Club announced the signing of Swiss international midfielder Remo Freuler. The player, born on April 15, 1992, joins from Bologna; in the past three years, he has played 123 matches for Bologna, including 40 appearances in the recently concluded season.

Freuler played for Nottingham Forest in the 2022/23 season, making 33 appearances; from 2016 to 2022, he played for Atalanta, with 260 appearances, 21 goals, and 23 assists across all competitions.

The player came through the Winterthur youth academy and has played for Grasshopper Club Zürich youth team, Grasshopper, Winterthur, and Luzern during his career.

At club level, he has accumulated 301 appearances in Serie A, 28 in the Champions League, 24 in the Europa League, and 28 in the Premier League; for the Swiss national team, he has 94 appearances and 11 goals.
