The Croatian center-back from Ajax is currently in a clear leading position among all defensive transfer targets. The deal is in the form of a paid loan (3 million euros) plus a buy-out option, which will become mandatory if certain conditions are met.

Josip Šutalo, a 26-year-old Croatian center-back, joined Ajax from Dinamo Zagreb in the summer of 2023 for a transfer fee of 20.5 million euros.
