According to AS, Paris Saint-Germain is hoping Liverpool's final offer will reach their €140 million asking price for Barcola. Luis Enrique has excluded him from his plans.

Paris Saint-Germain's summer transfer window is not yet closed, with players still able to join or leave before the September 1 deadline. Most attention is focused on Bradley Barcola, who has refused to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain and has reached a preliminary agreement with Liverpool, leaving his future uncertain. Luis Enrique has excluded the French international from the squad until his situation is resolved.

However, a gap remains between Paris Saint-Germain's valuation and Liverpool's offer. Liverpool's latest bid was €115 million including bonuses, but it was rejected by the Ligue 1 champions' management. Paris Saint-Germain subsequently lowered their asking price from an initial €160 million to €140 million, and may now be willing to accept an offer around that figure.

Liverpool will make a final push to sign Barcola, with both sides already having reached a preliminary agreement. Barcola wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain after being excluded from Enrique's plans. While he initially had no intention of forcing a move and was prepared to fight for a starting spot, the arrivals of Ferran Torres and Delio Rossi have changed the situation.

All parties believe a breakthrough is possible, as Barcola's continued presence could create problems for Enrique. The manager believes that a player whose focus is elsewhere cannot perform at their best, and has therefore decided to drop him. Enrique has also excluded Nordi Mukiele from his plans, with Liverpool also interested in signing him.

Barcola's departure has become urgent for Paris Saint-Germain. If they fail to sell him, the club will miss the opportunity to reinforce their attack before the transfer window closes. Negotiations between Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool have accelerated in recent days. Having come through Lyon's academy, Barcola has also been pushing the club's sporting directors to reach an agreement with Liverpool after confirming he is not in Enrique's plans.
