According to the latest report from Mundo Deportivo, Camp Nou is currently the strongest favorite to host the 2029 Champions League final, ahead of Wembley.

Barcelona's bid to host the 2029 Champions League final is reportedly supported by the Barcelona City Council, the Government of Catalonia, the Royal Spanish Football Federation, and the Spanish government, and is seen as the frontrunner to win the bid.

The final decision will be announced on September 15 at the UEFA Executive Committee meeting in Thessaloniki, Greece. For UEFA, the prospect of the renovated Camp Nou hosting 104,600 spectators for the final is undoubtedly very attractive.

Camp Nou will become Europe's largest stadium by capacity, with VIP seating increasing from 2,500 to 9,400, and double-decker boxes added between the second and third tiers. Wembley Stadium, completed in 2007, has 90,000 seats and hosted Champions League finals in 2011, 2013, and 2024.

The fact that Camp Nou is not yet complete has not hindered UEFA's approval; they are fully aware of the project, including plans to install the roof next summer, and UEFA has visited the construction site multiple times for inspections. Furthermore, Barcelona's airport and hotel capacity are beyond question.
