Bayern later confirmed that the club had been aware of Musiala's condition several months prior, and his physical discomfort was attributed to adjustments in his treatment plan.

When discussing the matter, Bayern Munich legend Lothar Matthäus stated on the Sky90 show that Musiala's situation reflects the unity within Bayern.

"One of the most important things I've experienced at Bayern Munich is how this Musiala situation has been handled," Matthäus said.

He revealed that Bayern's management and medical staff had known about the situation approximately six or seven months ago, and those informed were not only the club president and medical team, but the entire squad was made aware.

"But no information was leaked. This demonstrates the cohesion of the team, both on and off the pitch."

Matthäus also praised Bayern's handling of this sensitive matter. Musiala has now returned to training with the team, but it remains uncertain whether head coach Kompany will include him in the squad for Wednesday's DFB-Pokal match away at Osnabrück.

"The way they could handle such a topic with such unity and compassion commands my respect. I can only say, hats off to Bayern Munich," Matthäus stated.
