Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said on Monday that the government will do everything possible to host the 2030 World Cup final in Spain, adding that "it's time for Spain to win a World Cup at home."

The 2030 World Cup will be co-hosted by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. Sánchez recalled the Spanish national team's glorious achievements: the team first won the World Cup in South Africa in 2010 and achieved the feat a second time at this year's World Cup in the US, Canada, and Mexico. In his view, Spain deserves to be crowned again on home soil.
When asked how Spain would respond if FIFA President Gianni Infantino scheduled the final in Morocco, the Prime Minister gave a clear answer: the government will do everything in its power to ensure the final is held in Spain.
